# Providers and connections

> Where the connections to your calendar, CRM, email and telephony accounts are managed.

Fluents talks to services you already use. Your calendar, so an agent can book into it.
Your CRM, so results land where your team works. Your email, so an agent can send
from your domain. Your telephony account, if you bring your own numbers.

Each of those is an **account connection**, made once and then reused.

## Where connections live

Connections are managed under **Integrations** in the sidebar.

  There is no separate Providers screen. If you are looking for one because something
  pointed you here, **Integrations** is the place.

Once a connection exists, it becomes selectable wherever it is relevant. The
**Account Connection** field you see on numbers, actions and webhooks is asking which
of your connections to use.

## What a connection unlocks

**Calendars** let the
**[Appointment Scheduling](/product/features/skills/appointment-scheduling)** skill
read real availability and book into it.

**Email accounts** let the
**[In Call Email](/product/features/skills/in-call-email)** skill send from your
domain rather than a generic sender.

**CRMs** let post-call results sync into the system your team already looks at. See

**Telephony accounts** let you link numbers you already own instead of buying new
ones. See **[Numbers](/product/features/numbers)**.

## A note on scope

Connections belong to an **environment**, like everything else. A calendar connected
in one environment is not available in another, so an agent that books fine in testing
will not book in production until the connection exists there too.
